Welcome to My Vow/Birthday/Self-Wedding Party!

Even in a paroxysm of panic at throwing a party (let alone inventing a self-wedding)  I knew in my heart that a vow – one meant to be honored—needed to be witnessed. Rituals are an important part of being a human. Just as the ritual of a morning coffee signals a new phase in your day, the purpose of ceremony is to recognize…or to create – a   transition in our lives. Finally I wanted to be held accountable to myself more than I wanted to avoid possible embarrassment. So this is my ceremony in all it silliness, seriousness and crying earnestness.  YOU ARE INVITED!

Documentary excerpt on Self-Marriage. How…and Why!

After all...We Can't Allow Ourselves to BE Loved                       More Than We Love Our SELVES!

Illuminating The Vow Process which my workshops are grounded in, this excerpt from the documentary, Sacred Self Marriage is an intimate look at how transforming our INNER experience can revolutionize ALL our relationships. With the help of my patient (and often sobbed-on) Little Laurie doll, I share the backstory of the process detailed in I DO ME WED!, a method that blends basic acting techniques with left-/right-brain Inner Child work (plus a secret ingredient) to enable you to at long last give your SELF the same love you offer others.

When I created the Vow Process --- and used the solemn promises to my Self that it yielded -- I wasn't thinking in terms of attracting yet another relationship.  My sole purpose was to reclaim my laughter and experience the happiness that comes from feeling love, admiration and compassion for my Self, within myself. And then....wouldn't you know it!... my Perfect-for-Me Mate strode into my life. And I didn't even have to change or hide any aspect of my true self to have my love story. So, a picture is worth a thousand words and stuff!

GRANT'S RANTS! Grant Rutter is one of the most entertaining, witty and irreverent podcast maestros out  there.  On this, my first show with him, he confessed he had a yearning to inject a positive spiritual consciousness to his show and I was SOOOoooo honored that he felt I had the right mix of whimsy and gravitas (and, for better or worse!?) an encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture to launch his new vibe!
